At A Hand to Humanity Association, our commitment to serve and uplift vulnerable populations led us to the doors of Enfants of Sun, a modest orphanage tucked away in Odza. This outreach was part of our broader campaign to bring compassionate healthcare, dignity, and joy to underprivileged children across Cameroon.

???? Free Medical Consultations & Health Support

With healthcare access being a major challenge in many orphanages, our medical team stepped in to provide comprehensive consultations and screenings for 20 children and caregivers. The services included rapid testing for:

• Malaria – a common and dangerous illness in the region
• HIV – to ensure early detection and peace of mind
• Hepatitis B & C – a proactive step in preventing silent infections

After the consultations, we donated a set of essential medications to strengthen the orphanage’s first aid system. This included treatment for malaria, general infections, and pain relief, ensuring that minor illnesses can be addressed promptly on-site.

One of the older residents gave a short but moving speech on behalf of the group, expressing their joy and appreciation for being seen, heard, and supported.
