Our Social department commits to supporting the underprivileged members of our communities by providing care, and support by facilitating access to basic healthcare, education, nutrition and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) needs.
Over the years we have developed monthly visit to targeted orphanages where we provide specific healthcare needs including routine checkups, vaccination, over the counter medication, basic first aid kits, food items, new and fairly used clothing and footwear, and educational support. We have developed monitoring, evaluation and learning processes in place to ensure our actions meet our mission objectives and are adequate to the beneficiaries.
In collaboration with a sister NGO – Inspire Action in Ghana, we are working on developing reusable sanitary pads in response to the limited access women and girls have to menstrual hygiene management (MHM) especially knowledge, menstrual products, and their low purchasing power. This is the first phase of a WASH project to tackle the poor or inexistent sanitation facilities in schools, health facilities and households.
